- Dear Mr Pijanowski,
-
-
- Thank you for your letter regarding my miniFORTH program
- and DIY tutorials. I'm glad you share my regard for FORTH -
- although I started late with a ZX80 and Sinclair BASIC
- rather than the NASCOM, I spent a very enjoyable time with a
- Jupiter Ace which managed to squeeze one of the best FORTH
- systems ever into an 8K ROM.
-
- I plan to update miniFORTH to include your suggestions, and
- those of others, and if you don't mind I'll retain your
- names and address and post you a copy when I get it
- finished.
-
- As to the sampler project - Argh! I'm haunted by that
- capacitor. As stated in the text, the value for C2 is found
- by experimentation. The circuit I built worked fine with a
- 470nF cap, so that's the one I suggested - what else can I
- say?
-
- As for the poor screen shots, well, it's partly for this
- reason that I've decided not to do any more DIY projects.
- As a freelancer I cannot check the circuit diagrams or parts
- listings before they go into print, and the scope for errors
- is just too large. Although popular, the projects caused
- all sorts of hassle: readers telephoning in,
- non-functioning cirtcuits arriving by post, even myself
- being reported to the press complaints commision. Clearly
- the two pages every month are not worth the trouble.
-
- Thanks for taking the time to write,
-
-
-
- Yours sincerely,
-
-
-
